Janet Jackson Makes First Public Appearance in Over a Year

The sister of the late pop king Janet Jackson, has been keeping a rather low profile lately.

The 48-year-old stunner made a triumphant return to the red carpet when she made a rare public appearance at the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience in Dubai on Friday. 

Jackson has been maintaining a relatively low profile since tying the knot with billionaire beau Wissam Al Mana in 2012, although the private couple did not confirm their I-dos until Feb. 2013.

 

She made a rare red carpet appearance at the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience in Dubai on Friday. The "Miss You Much" singer — who has not been spotted since she attended the amfAR 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS event in France back in May 2013 — looked as youthful as ever at the Dubai soiree in her high ponytail and fitted, long-sleeved black ensemble. Jackson's makeup artist, Preston Meneses, posted a close-up pic of the pop icon to Instagram that showed off her striking makeup and a detailed henna design on her fingers.
